"You will have to love the Bolly"

I've been in a real knitting mood lately - which means movie watching and writing go waaaaay down due to not being able to read subtitles OR type while knitting. I did try to watch Luck by Chance this weekend, but the absolutely craptastic pirated DVD that the stupid grocery store rented me refused to play consistently (and looked and sounded horrible when it did); I had better luck with a real copy of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, which I liked but did not love and will write up tomorrow. In the meantime, please do read this great essay by The Buddha Smiled on the effects of Bollywood infiltrating his life.

I know what you mean about being in a knitting mood. I've been in a murder-mystery mood a lot, lately - the kind that comes in books, and leaves you with no time for blogging! Hope you find a better copy of Luck By Chance - I'd love to know what you think of it.

Yay for knitting! I am singularly uninspired to do it in the summer, but when winter comes I love cozying up with my needles and some sweet sweet yarn :)

Will you be sharing photos of the productions that are depriving us so of your pearls of wisdom?

Oh wow! You know there's a whole thread on BollyWHAT for knitters who like Indian-inspired patterns?

Your link is broken. Here's the right one: http://thebuddhasmiled.blogspot.com/2009/09/why-i-hate-bollywood.html I loved that post! Thank you for linking to the blog... I hadn't found it before.
